A Landscape Photography Tour of Mayon's Eruption
March 20-23, 2026
Mayon Volcano is the most iconic landscape in the Philippines, celebrated for its breathtaking symmetry and near-perfect cone. But every so often, Mayon reveals another side of its beauty: a dramatic display of nature’s power as it awakens and erupts.
This March, Mayon is currently in an active eruptive phase, offering a rare opportunity to photograph one of the world’s most beautiful volcanoes while it is alive with glowing lava flows, ash plumes, and spectacular atmospheric conditions. Moments like these don’t come often, and when they do, they transform the familiar landscape into something extraordinary.
Join me for this special 4-day landscape photography tour based in Legazpi City, Albay. Over several sunrise, sunset, and night sessions, we will photograph Mayon from a carefully curated selection of vantage points around the region—locations chosen for their dramatic views, photographic potential, and safety. With the volcano active, we may witness lava glow at night, ash columns rising from the crater, and constantly shifting light and cloud formations that make every shooting session unique.
The tour will run March 20–23, 2026. The group will be based in Legazpi City, Albay. Participants are expected to arrive before noon on March 20 (Friday), and the tour will conclude by mid-morning of March 23 (Monday).
The tour cost is ₱16,500, which includes:
4 nights accommodation in Legazpi City
Meals at highly-rated local restaurants, with emphasis on Bicolano cuisine
